| So I just thought I'd give this think an update.
Right now I'm currently in Grass Valley, CA and I'm preparing to go down to Cocoa Beach, FL to finish my AIM time. Woohoo hot weather!
Anyway I've basically been just catching up with people back in Grass Valley and I also went down to the Pepperdine Lectureships since I've been back.
For those of you who were receiving my newsletters: fear not, I will send one out when I get to Cocoa Beach.
I also applied to Tomsk Polytechnic University to study Linguistics and Translation for 5 years over in Russia. They told me that I will get the final official answer next week if I am studying there. From what people in Tomsk are saying it sounds like I have a good chance to get in but I can't help but be super nervous now about what is going on. I'm just praying and praying that God will take care of me no matter where I go.
So yeah, I'm still alive and still trying to serve God in any place I go! Woohoo!

| Привет люди!!!!
Yes I'm here, alive and well and I wont just confirm that fact but I will actually write something and tell whats going on in my world.
So I sent my newsletter out to all the AIMers for once so if you got that thing it would be cool if someone could leave a comment on here confirming that.
Ah, so, what's new in my world?
Well for the past month we've been going to a homeless shelter to try and talk to and help the people there with some of their needs. The last time we went it was Josh, Anthony, Amanda, Alissa, Alosha, and I. Josh, Anthony and Alosha teamed up and I went with the girls. So I went with Amanda and Alissa to talk to the women at the shelter. It was a good time practicing my Russian even though I couldn't translate half of what they were saying It was good though and we did find a physical need for one of the women which is great because it means we can help her in someway.
House churches are going good. We'll be going through The Flood this weekend and talking about it. Hopefully I'll be studying with a few people from the house church afterwards too (depends if they are all there). I've really been pleased with the house churches and I really look forward to going every time.
I pretty much study Russian every single day and the fruits of my labor are finally beginning to show. I'm able to have small conversations (usually) and I understand the main idea at the small groups now the whole way through. Soon I will speak this language! It's so difficult but I know I'll be able to do it eventually.
I had a dream last night that my mom came to Tomsk last night to visit me and I took her around the city on the little buses and through the markets. We even went to the small group at my friend Oksana's place. It was an interesting little dream. The night before I had a dream I was swimming in the river and I woke up in the middle of the night and I threw all of my blankets off of me in the effort of trying to swim.
I guess that's all for now?
Okay sounds good. I hope all of you are doing well. Go with God!

| No I'm not dead. I know I haven't been online or posting a lot lately and honestly I don't know why =) I think I just somehow my use of the internet has just naturally declined.
Anyway, yes I am alive and well. So the New Year rolled over and we had a party here which was pretty awesome. Josh turned 21 years old and I turned 20 years old. We also had our monthly general meeting for the church here which was pretty good.
Yeah I don't really know what to say =) Forgive me and continue to love me even though I don't post as much.

| Well I didn't make my goal to finish on the 19th. I ended up getting really sick on that day and I was in bed most of the day (I'm alright now). I don't really care though =)
Anyway, things are going good here and I finally finished Christmas shopping today. Despite how close Christmas is on the calendar, it doesn't feel much like Christmas at all here in Tomsk. That's okay though, I've got some great people to share the holiday's with and I can't wait to bust open the presents.
Tomorrow we will talk about gratitude at the house churches so that will be awesome. One of young guys is going to teach something tomorrow which will be awesome.
Starting in January we will be taught Russian more frequently and also individually (for the guy's part). Our friend Ira will be taking Anya's place as our Russian teacher because Anya is leaving with her husband to go to the Christian school in St. Petersburg. So I'll be taught one on one 3 times a week starting in January. I will learn this language if it becomes the death of me. =)
Things are going wonderful here and I'm even thinking about staying the full extent of the field time (end of February 08). Shocking huh?
Cool stuff.
